Radio Flyer - Flyer 500Radio Flyer - Flyer 500
The Radio Flyer – Flyer 500 is a toy car and race track suitable for children aged between 2 and 5 years. The car itself can either be used as a standard push car or with the included ramp and track. When using the ramp, children sit atop the race car at the summit of the ramp.

The ramp features a very gentle descent and track measuring 6 feet in total that allows the child to roll down and race off the end, providing endless entertainment for young children. The ramp and car store into the base unit when not being used, allowing the Flyer 500 to be easily stored or transported.

With a weight capacity of up to 50lbs, the Flyer 500 is a reasonably sturdy device, and the addition of the ramp to your standard push car toy makes it stand out above its peers for all the young budding Evel Knievel toddlers out there!

Is The Radio Flyer – Flyer 500 Worth Buying?

What makes the Radio Flyer – Flyer 500 stand out is the fact that you are effectively receiving two toys in one. When the car and ramp are used together, you have a gentle yet fun experience for young children that give them just the right amount of excitement. Inevitably, the car will be used without the ramp as a means of transportation all over the house, but it is well built and can withstand reasonably heavy usage.

The ramp will also be used as a standalone toy. You can expect to see children racing everything from miniature toy cars to marbles down the ramp, and it is quite likely to feature in all manner of playtime activities.

Although slightly large, the Radio Flyer – Flyer 500 does fold away nice and neatly. Both the car and ramp fit nicely into the base unit, meaning that the Flyer 500 can be stored in the bottom of a wardrobe, or transported to a friend’s house with minimal fuss.

Care should be taken when assembling and disassembling the ramp however, as over time the connections can become slightly worn down with extended heavy use. This is one of the very few drawbacks of the Radio Flyer – Flyer 500.

Overall if you are looking for a toy riding car for your young child, the Radio Flyer – Flyer 500 gives you that little bit extra, and will have your child the envy of his friends. It isn't cheap, but it's well worth the money.
